Many people would like to and do have a place to call home. A portion of the population do not however have a place to call home.
Most people would prefer the homeless to not break into their home to steal or sleep in their home. Many homeless people will not break into peoples homes but some may break in or trespass on abandoned properties. Most people do not enjoy unauthorized persons to trespass onto their property. Especially if it is to compete with or reduce opportunities and induce hardships with the people on that property.
However if you are in a position where you can’t find work where you are a citizen and authorized to go with legal permissions, and without the work you and your family suffer and die, you might jump the border to find work where you can.
Survival is the utmost important unless we are directly hurting innocent people. Indirectly people do not see the actual impacts of their actions. Indirectly many impacts aren’t as bad as if they broke into your home or stole your actual things or physically hurt you.
If you are an apartment management associate and have to evict someone because of their inability to pay the rent, it is unfortunate but logically sound action to do regardless who you are in the situation. However as a tenet trying to maintain a place to call home, it is your obligation to do anything reasonable to be able to stay there. This includes asking for more time so you can try to find a solution or more money to pay with or if there is any way you can postpone the eviction. Both parties most likely know that you won’t be able to pay and get things settled up. Both have valid motivations for their actions regardless if they conflict with their intentions of outcomes.
We all need to do our best to survive in a civil and reasonable way to maintain and optimize the system we call society as a whole. Everyone has their own battles to fight. As long as that happens fairly as much as possible, the system should be able to self sustain and grow.
This goes along with the concept of not being able to help others unless you yourself are stable enough to do so. The Christian bible has a verse about removing the plank from your own eye before trying to remove a speck from your brothers eye. You can read that article here.
