It’s really important to look at labels and see how much sugar is being put into the foods and drinks you get that are processed ready made foods. You may be surprised just how much sugar is in things you wouldn’t think would have sugar in them all that much. Things like pizza and healthy sounding cereals and even sausages that are the fancy kind. Sugar is going to make you fat way more than you’d like and will destroy your health. There are three main types of sugar to be aware of: dextrose (glucose), fructose, and sucrose. Dextrose is another name for glucose. That is the simple sugar the body uses. It’s the least sweet of the three sugar types. Fructose is a complex sugar that is difficult for the body to break down and is very sweet and gives you weird sugar spikes and is addictive because of how unbalanced that spiking and sweetness works. Sucrose is a combination of dextrose and fructose which makes it still difficult to process but less so than fructose and has about a middle sweetness to it.
